The Cree in this area were a nomadic tribe of hunters and trappers. They are very hospitable and love to share their culture with others. Traditionally, the island of Moose Factory was a summer meeting place for the Cree, and even today you will see tepees in the yard used for the outdoor cooking of moose, goose, and bannock (bread). The Cree Gospel Chapel, an indigenous church, is located on the island of Moose Factory in Ontario. The Chapel was established in 1962, with a membership of 60 people. Our desire is to encourage the believers of the Chapel and partner with them as they seek to reach the whole island with the gospel of Jesus Christ. |

- Recommended for ages: senior high through adult
- Cost: $470 - $490 per person (not including transportation)
- Lodging: "Summer vacant" teachers' homes; air mattresses/sleeping bags required
- Ministries: VBS & youth, construction, senior ministries
- Location: Moose Factory is an island in northeastern Ontario. Teams fly (or travel by train) from Toronto to Moosonee, then take a water taxi to the island. Passport required.
