Tohono O'odham Nation
Sells, Arizona

Tohono O'odham Reservation  For thousands of years the O'odham, whose name means "People of the Desert," inhabited an enormous area of land in the southwest and learned how to survive a burning summer sun, late summer monsoons, and harsh winters by developing a unique culture of using things of the desert for their subsistence. Today the reservation covers nearly 2.8 million acres extending from southern Arizona into Mexico.  At the Sells Recreation Center, where many of the O’Odham children and adults frequent, MTW teams can serve the community by hosting a VBS, sports ministry, movies, or crafts, or through senior ministries and construction projects. In addition, there are several outlying communities from Sells that teams can travel to for ministry to youth.
