Building Connections Close to You

MTW Northeast is a connection point for regional events, training, and help if you're interested in serving one year or longer. If you are a new church starting a missions ministry or your church has an established global outreach, we can help you through planning, mobilizing, and connecting you with global PCA church-planting works.

We serve Pennsylvania, DC, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. If your church is in one of these areas, we'd love to connect with you!

Greg Hills

Originally from central New York, Greg’s passion for missions came in college through Intervarsity at North Carolina State University which culminated in his first short term missions trip to Kenya. Having received his degree in engineering, he moved to the Boston area where he worked for a military contractor and received training at Gordon-Conwell Seminary. During that time, he became convinced that the Lord was calling his family to Istanbul, Turkey. There he worked with local church leaders and taught Bible courses. The Lord eventually led them back to the Boston area where Greg spent 20 years in pastoral ministry at First Presbyterian church on the Northshore of Boston. Now as Northeast Hub director, he hopes to focus his passion for global missions in mobilizing God’s people for the Great Commission.

Greg lives on the Northshore of Boston with his wife Heather and two daughters; and has four grown sons.

David Nok Daniel

Volunteer, Short Term Missions Coordinator.

David is originally from Northern Nigeria. He moved to Boston with his wife to attend seminary at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Before moving to Boston, David was an Associate Staff with Cru in Nigeria, where he led the country's young professional ministry (Priority Associates Nigeria). In addition, he was involved in many short-term missions within and outside the country. David currently serves as a Ruling Elder at Christ the King Presbyterian Church, Dorchester, and helps the church think, pray and focus on the lost in their community and globally.

He lives in Dorchester with his wife Maryam and two boys – Daniel and Joshua.

Ken Scheffter

Volunteer, Mobilizer

Ken grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania in a home that hosted missionaries. After graduation from the University of Rochester (New York) with an engineering degree, Ken was commissioned in the US Navy and served for 6 years as a nuclear submarine officer.  Since leaving the Navy, he continues to work in related vocational arenas. Ken has a deep passion for the Lord Jesus; for loving missionaries more and more deeply, and for short-term missions. He is actively involved in local men’s discipleship, domestic U.S. and international short-term missions efforts, and with the MTW Northeast Hub as Prayer Coordinator and Missionary Care Coordinator. Ken and his wife Barbara also greatly enjoy hosting missionaries in their home and visiting them at various international locations.

Ken and Barbara live in Mt. Airy, Maryland, and greatly enjoy the blessings of living close to their two daughters, their sons-in-law, and their five grandchildren.

Bahamas Preaching Sabbatical
Covenant Life Presbyterian Church is looking for seasoned pastors who desire to use their gifts in caring for a Bahamian congregation in need of short-term pulpit supply.

At MTW, we believe that sending more diverse missionaries better reflects the image of God and helps build more effective ministry as people of color bring their voices and gospel stories to those waiting to hear. If you would like more info about how the MTW Diversifi initiative and RADD (Reformed And Diverse Delegates) can help you in your mission, please contact one of our diversity mobilizers.
