Advancing in Missions (AiM) Workshops
A Six Stage Journey
Advancing in Missions (AiM) is a six stage journey designed to help churches grow their missions vision, structure, and involvement.
The AiM Workshops represent stage four of AiM's six stage journey. All other stages are completed at each local church with guidance from MTW Central. Stages one through four should be completed by prior to attending this workshop. See an overview of all six AiM stages.
This practical workshop is intended to bring a missions vision from 30,000 feet to rubber-meets-the-road. Local church mission leaders (lay and/or ordained) will build the foundation for a unique vision and strategy for their church’s missions ministry. Participants will also walk away with tools, ideas and resources for engaging their church in missions. While the stage-four workshop is one part of a longer journey for many churches, it is designed as a stand-alone workshop so that churches do not have to participate in the full AiM process in order for the workshop to be relevant. An AiM workshop is for any church, no matter how developed or undeveloped their missions ministry. AiM workshops work best when churches can send more than one representative, but individuals are welcome to attend and take back what they learn. One significant benefit from an AiM workshop is the opportunity to gather with and learn from missions leaders from other churches in your area.
AiM is a free gift for the church.
