Jacobson, Katie

Serving in Cambodia | Acct # 400516

PERSONAL NOTE

Katie took her first overseas mission trip to the Philippines in 2004, which led to annual trips and eventually the Lord leading her there long term in 2007. While in the Philippines, Katie served as an English teacher in a remote tribal village. During that time, she became burdened for the lack of medical care in third world countries, growing in her a desire to provide gospel-centered holistic medical care and basic medical knowledge in Southeast Asia. In 2009, she returned home to become a nurse in hopes of using her new formed skills on the field one day. While pursuing medical missions after graduation, Katie waited patiently for God to reveal a new long term mission location to her.

Recently, Katie has felt God calling her to Cambodia. She is preparing to serve and share the hope and love of Christ through mercy ministries as well as helping to facilitate youth discipleship. She is looking forward to working alongside the local Khmer church and the Cambodia team. Please pray for Katie as she builds relationships with Cambodians in order to share the gospel and pray that Christ would be glorified in her life and in Cambodia.
