Kim, Young & Eunice
Serving in South Korea | Acct # 400701
Young and Eunice are both first-generation Korean Americans. Young became a Christian at 16. A strong desire to become a teaching missionary arose in his heart and began a long journey to get a doctoral degree in biblical studies and cross-cultural training. He married Eunice in 1987. They came to the U.S. as an international student couple. Their son was born during this time.
Young got a Master of Divinity degree in 1991, returned to Korea, and served God at local churches and a Bible college for 10 years. In 2002, they returned to the U.S. for Young’s further study. Young accepted a call from a Korean ethnic church in metro Atlanta in 2003. About eight years later, God awakened his vision through visiting missionaries. He decided to resign his position, study further, and get his Ph.D. They applied to be MTW missionaries in 2019, but the pandemic delayed the procedure. After an anxious period of waiting, Young and Eunice received an invitation from Korea in January 2022. Young and Eunice return home as missionaries to minister to Koreans and foreign sojourners with various religious backgrounds with the hope of reaching East Asia and beyond.
