PERSONAL NOTE

Quentin and Karen met at Taylor University.  After they married they moved to Florida, where Karen worked in a nursing home and Quentin received a master’s degree in teaching English as a second language (TESOL).  

 

The Nantzs joined MTW’s short-term ministry in 1984, and served as dorm parents at a school for missionary children in Taiwan.  In 1986, they joined the English Language Institute/China (ELIC) as English teachers in China.  Then they moved to Florida where Quentin taught high school English and received his doctor of education degree at the University of Miami.

 

Quentin and Karen have been with MTW since 1993. They ministered in Beijing for two years in cooperation with ELIC and are currently at Christ’s College, in Taipei, Taiwan. Quentin leads a team of missionary teachers in developing and implementing quality English programs for Chinese students. Karen recently completed her master’s degree in TESOL and is a full time teacher at the college.  Together they are working to fulfill the mission of Christ’s College which is to “win students to Christ and to develop church workers for the purpose of fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission, especially among the Chinese people.”
