Sweet, Robbie & Lydia

Robbie and Lydia met while attending Covenant College and married in 2004. After graduating with degrees emphasizing youth ministry, they both joined the youth staff of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church. While working on the church staff, Robbie received his Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary. Both Robbie and Lydia have a heart for sharing the gospel with teenagers and love seeing growth in their knowledge and love for Jesus.

In 2015 the Sweets moved to Scotland as a part of MTW Next. The Next team exists to serve the global Church in reaching the next generation for Christ. After spending six years serving in St. Andrews, the Sweets moved to Glasgow to join the vision of the MTW national partner, the Free Church of Scotland, which is to see a healthy gospel church in every community in Scotland. The Sweets will focus their ministry efforts by serving the Free Church in launching new strategic youth work in Glasgow as well as training and discipling youth workers throughout the denomination, encouraging and equipping European leaders for next generation ministry, and will pursue ministry opportunities with the missionary kids serving throughout Europe.
