Schwab, Corrie

Corrie has had Japan on her mind ever since she watched the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics on TV as a child. Her childish fascination matured into affection, respect, compassion, and eventually a call after she learned how few Japanese people have the opportunity to hear the gospel.

Corrie is serving at Christ Bible Institute, which operates a seminary in the city of Nagoya. She is grateful for the opportunity to put her experience in publishing into the service of the Japanese church by helping CBI provide Christian books and other resources in Japanese.

Since churches in Japan tend to be very small and there are few native-language Christian resources available to church members, the entire burden of discipling these congregations usually falls to their overextended pastor. Please pray that the students trained at CBI would provide the Japanese church with future leaders. And please pray that the books and articles Corrie helps CBI publish would provide all Japanese Christians with resources to grow in their faith and disciple others.
