Phil & Wendy Stogner

To plant a new church in a new place is the greatest way to gather new disciples to Jesus as new believers in worship. To equip and encourage the heart of the church planter with the power of the gospel is the greatest way to help church planters pursue their call to make disciples and multiply churches. The Stogners’ mission is to come alongside church planters toward the goal of fruitful church plants.

Phil and Wendy have served in the ministry of church planting for over 34 years, planting new congregations in Florida, Utah, and South Carolina. They love church planters and their families and feel uniquely gifted and called to come alongside them as trainers and coaches to equip and encourage them in their challenging call to start new congregations in difficult places. Since 2019, Phil and Wendy, have lived in Glasgow, Scotland, where they are a part of three church plants with a vision for three additional new plants. Scotland, with its 2.5% evangelical Christian, population falls in the category of an unreached people group due to its indifference to God and embrace of secular spiritualism.

The Stogners’ ministry in support of church planters has now overflowed the boundaries of Scotland into all of Europe. Phil serves as the director of coaching which takes him wherever the Lord has led church planters to strategically plant new congregations throughout Europe including Scotland, Germany, France, Spain, Bulgaria, and Poland. They serve both MTW church planters and nationals who seek to plant and grow Christ-centered churches. Believing that “it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace,” their desire is to join church planters across Europe by coming alongside with counsel, coaching, and care, with a vision of healthy growing churches by the power of the gospel for all the nations.
