Tim was born into a Christian family in Tacoma, Washington. He graduated from Covenant College with a B.A. in history. In 2006, Tim went with MTW to Chiba, Japan, for an 11-month internship, which stretched into two and a half years. He worked with university students, assisted the church-planting effort, led Bible studies, and taught English conversation.
After returning to the U.S. he began his master of divinity studies at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando in preparation for serving in Osaka with Genesis International College (GIC). In Osaka, Tim will work with a Japanese pastor of a small church helping to grow that church, disciple and train men, and equipping them to share the good news of Jesus Christ with their countrymen.
He will also work with Genesis International College (GIC). This start-up college is one of a kind in Japan. GIC is a place where young people can gain valuable education that will give them an advantage in the Japanese workforce. Tim is excited to be a part of this new university as it establishes itself in Osaka. This unique university will not only provide education to those who missed out on college but also to share Christ and bring hope of eternal life to the largest unreached nation in the world.
