Wilson, Tom & Teresa
Serving in Japan | Acct # 18228
Singing is church planting? Acting is evangelism? Yes! Tom and Teresa employ the performing arts to share the love of Jesus and edify the church in Japan. Through boy choir, church choir, and gospel choirs, believers are encouraged in their faith and nonbelievers hear and sing the gospel with their own lips. The Wilsons also incorporate drama into their productions, training young actors in the skills of the stage where they experience the joy of making Bible stories and truths come to life for their audiences. Within these ministries, the Wilsons mentor Japanese Christians to share Christ personally with the singers and actors. As a result, many non-Christian participants attend Bible studies and worship services, often bringing along family and friends. Others who have studied the Bible for years connect the knowledge in their heads with their hearts in faith as they respond to the truth of the gospel presented through the arts.
Please pray that the Wilsons’ work will enable new church plants and established churches to reach their communities. May God be worshipped in Japan! “Let them give glory to the LORD and proclaim His praise in the islands” Isaiah 42:12.
