House parents are needed to care for young, co-ed interns while they serve in Chiba, Japan, at a small, international Christian school.
Come and create a nurturing environment where interns are allowed enough independence to grow and given enough oversight to be protected in their new environment. MTW Interns will live with you in a six-bedroom house owned by the MTW Chiba team. You will guide and support the interns, both in physical and spiritual ways. You might drive interns to the school, occasionally prepare “family dinners,” aid the interns in certain administrative tasks, or provide individual and/or group mentoring.
Additional ministry opportunities are possible, depending on your gifts. House parents can be a vital influence, both in the lives of the interns and the Japanese.
This is a great opportunity for spiritually mature couples, from newlyweds to retired folks, to serve the body of Christ and further the kingdom. Serving for the whole school year (September–July) is preferred, but it is possible to come for any part of that in three-month spans.
