Payroll Specialist

United States Americas - North

The Payroll Specialist is a full-time position responsible for collecting and processing information such as employee hours, compensation changes, and taxable fringe benefits. In addition, the position is required to acquire a good working knowledge of the organizational policies and practices related to the position as well as the HR Payroll software. The Payroll Specialist must be able to complete a pay cycle process fully and independently and respond to issues and questions regarding payroll.

Requirements and Skills

  • Documented experience in payroll processing or as a payroll specialist

  • Comprehension of payroll practices and/or accounting fundamentals

  • Basic understanding of payroll regulations is a plus

  • Proficient in MS Office and working with payroll database systems

  • Trustworthy with high attention to detail and confidentiality

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • College degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field is a plus
