Evangelism and Discipleship with the Quechua

Huaraz Peru Longer Americas - South
Lindsey Seiver/Lampstand Images

Work alongside our missionaries in Huaraz, Peru, as they travel into the surrounding villages developing relationships and sharing life and the gospel with the Quechua people. This position is highly relational and requires taking initiative in getting to know people using whatever talents and gifts you have, such as playing guitar or teaching English. A background or interest in agriculture would be a huge plus as most of the people in the area are subsistence farmers, and one of the ways our missionaries reach out to them is by teaching organic farming techniques.

Spanish fluency is a must, but language school is an option. You’d also be learning at least the basics of Quechua. The minimum time commitment for this position is two years, but long-term would be ideal. The Quechua are warm, welcoming, and hard-working, and God is at work among them. Come see for yourself!
