Do you have a heart for serving refugees? Join our Asian Crescent team in bringing the gospel to the Rohingya people!
The Rohingya, a Muslim people of Southeast Asia, have been called “the most persecuted people on earth.” They are extorted by traffickers, detained by governments, trapped at sea. They are a people without citizenship and work visas—and without the good news of Jesus.
Many Rohingya live in the bustling city where our team works. In response to a critical need for education, vocation, and basic life skills, our local church has opened a community center. It’s here that our Rohingya friends can find a safe place to develop personally and professionally and to experience the love of Jesus Christ.
We need people to assist at our refugee community center, bringing mercy and the gospel through teaching English, vocational skills, tutoring, early childhood literacy, and counseling (experience with trauma recovery preferred). Relationships are at the heart of our ministry, so expect to make some good friends as you share your life. Take time to walk in their shoes and use your creativity to find ways to bless and empower them.
Interns and short-term workers are assigned a mentor and participate in a weekly training and development program together. Make this city your home, become a part of our local church community, and grow in God’s calling in your life!
