West Africa Girls’ Home Facility

Africa | Project # 94969

PROJECT DETAILS

In this West African country, the Presbyterian denomination cares for as many as 37 young girls from Muslim backgrounds who were once at risk of sexual exploitation or trafficking. With the agreement of the family, the church takes responsibility for providing safe shelter, food, health care, and quality education within a Christian family atmosphere. As a result, many girls have made professions of faith. They become a vital part of the local church, and some have returned to their villages to share the good news of the gospel.

Recently the denomination purchased seven acres outside the city. MTW is partnering with them to construct a campus to house the girls in this calmer and safer area of the country. It will consist of several small cottage-style homes, with land available to grow food and raise livestock, making it more financially sustainable long-term.

Your gifts to this project will create a place where girls at risk can live, thrive, and hear the hope of the gospel.
