Working Together to Plant Churches in Ethiopia (VIDEO)
Five Ethiopian nationals and an MTW missionary serve together as elders over the Addis Ababa church plant. They rotate the teaching, they rotate the church leadership; they do everything together as a team. Together they are actively working to think through how to best make Christ known within the culture of the lower-income neighborhood where they serve.
The families in this community have a lot of needs: for food, for medical care, for counseling. But they also need spiritual care. This group of elders wanted to start a church that would be welcoming for everyone in the community, to people from every social background, every religious background. “God called us to fill that gap. The only thing that fills people’s gaps in their life is the gospel.”
Watch and be encouraged as God builds His church in Ethiopia.
