Unexpected Opportunity

One Sunday, a woman came to church, acting suspicious—almost paranoid. She wouldn’t even give the pastor her first name. To our surprise, at the end of the service she announced that if the church would sing “Oh Happy Day” the following week, she would return with 40 friends. We gladly agreed to her unusual request, yet remained skeptical that we would see her again. But sure enough, the next week she appeared with 40 friends who were helping her celebrate her birthday—40 friends who by God’s grace heard the gospel that day.

Building Trust

German culture is highly secularized and suspicious of religion. Building relationships to gain people’s trust is a foundational aspect of our ministry. Our team has joined Gospel Church München, a small missionary-led church in Munich, in the hopes of forming a Reformed denomination with other churches in Germany. We have started a Bible study for wives of men in the church, some of whom are not yet believers. Because of the trust and friendship these women have developed, they are increasingly open to learning about the Bible.

My Critical Breakfast Guest

Over breakfast she criticized the meal, our home, and my hair. I didn’t want to invite her back. In that moment my heart was revealed.

The Coming Tide of Faith in Europe

Across Europe missionaries are watching the Spirit move with a rapidly accelerating pace as God opens door after door.

Christ Will Build His Church

Europe is the new “dark continent.” Churches are being turned into bars and museums. But does that mean the European Church is without hope?

Goliath Must Fall: Two Gospel Stories

In a hard-to-reach, largely atheistic European city, these stories declare the gospel to be "the power of God unto salvation."

Pray for missionaries seeking to minister to those who are critical and hard to love. Pray that missionaries would love their neighbor as Christ loved us.

Give thanks to God for a movement of the Spirit spreading across Europe opening doors that have been long-shut.

Pray for Europeans who have heard the gospel but are hesitant to fully commit to Christ. Pray that God would draw them to Himself.

Please pray for Gospel Church München, a small missionary-led church in Munich, with which we are working. Pray for the small group Bible study where some of the participants are not yet believers.
