Rayl, Brett & Taylor

Serving in Japan | Acct # 16664

Brett and Taylor met at Furman University and married in 2009. They first served in Nagoya, Japan, after graduating from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Fla. After this initial year, the Rayls realized that their work in Japan was not yet done and felt called to go longer-term. They serve with Christ Bible Institute (CBI), a ministry that seeks to engage Japanese society with the gospel, expand the kingdom of God through church planting, and equip Christian leaders through theological education.

Toward these ends, CBI includes three arms of ministry: The Heart & Soul Café (an outreach to young people), Christ Bible Seminary, and church planting. Nagoya is one of the biggest cities in Japan, and CBI is located in the heart of the city, only a few blocks from the largest train station in the world. Brett serves as director and team leader of CBI and teaches part time at the seminary. Taylor supports the ministry primarily through the outreach of Heart & Soul Cafe.

The Japanese are among the largest unreached people groups in world, and the Rayls feel honored to serve alongside their brothers and sisters in this country.
