Kettle, Austin & Rachel

Serving in Belgium | Acct # 401019

PERSONAL NOTE

Austin and Rachel Kettle are returning to Brussels, Belgium, with their two young daughters to serve with a Presbyterian church-planting team at Hope International Church. Austin is an ordained teaching elder in the PCA.

Austin, from England, and Rachel, from Texas, met in 2014 while Rachel was working in Brussels in humanitarian aid. They dated in Brussels, were engaged and married in the UK, then moved to Myanmar in 2016. There, Rachel continued her NGO work, and Austin served in leadership at a newly-established Christian international school for missionary and religious minority children.

In 2020, they relocated to the U.S. for seminary and to welcome their first daughter. Austin earned his Master of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary (Washington, D.C.) while serving as a pastoral intern at McLean Presbyterian Church, eventually becoming pastor of community life. Rachel has worked with Christian NGOs and government institutions and is completing her Master of Arts in religion at RTS.

Proficient in French, they both lived in France before meeting. Austin also spent time working with churches in Brazil.

The Kettles are excited to return to Brussels in June 2026 to help plant Reformed gospel-centered churches and serve the diverse community.
