Central Asia Theological Education

This very strategic project seeks to train those who will eventually become the foundation of the Reformed Church witness in Central Asia—an area where people are daily under pressure for their faith. The Central Asia team is partnering with local churches to set up training centers for church leaders throughout Central Asia. This project funds curriculum development and the training of national facilitators and teachers using the MINTS study center model.

Church leaders in this region labor in difficult situations and there is a hunger to learn and defend the deep truths of the faith. In some cases, even attending these training events could cost students everything—and yet, they come. One of the men attending said, “All I could think of was what would happen to my wife and young children.” In the end he was safe, and stated that he was committed to learning no matter what the cost.
