West Africa University Student House

Africa | Project # 94992

PROJECT DETAILS

In this large West African city, evangelical Christians number far less than 1 percent. The local Presbyterian denomination considers it a strategically important place for church planting in the next 10 years. They have asked MTW for help in creating a university student house as a key part of the strategy for planting a gospel-centered church in the city.

A group of Christian students from a major local university will be housed in two separate facilities, one for men and one for women. Here they will learn to live together in community as part of a discipleship program aimed at producing future leaders for the church and city. Alongside our MTW team and national church leadership, these students will learn what it means to be the church and form the core group of a new church plant. The vision is for this church plant to grow as an urban congregation of people from different tribal/ethnic backgrounds.

Your gifts to this project will be the seeds of a church-planting movement that begins in the city and blesses all of West Africa with the light of the gospel.
