Young Samurai - Chiba
Asia - East | Project # 92896
Have you ever seen God answer a decades-old prayer? MTW’s church-planting team in Chiba, Japan, is experiencing this right now. “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Matt. 9:38). For many years this has been their prayer, and God has recently raised up an abundance of Japanese leaders for His church. These men, along with their families, are known as the “Young Samurai” families. They are entering a two-year internship with the Chiba team, most having already received theological or seminary training.
During the internship, they will gain valuable ministry experience at Oyumino Christ Church’s three locations, including preaching, evangelism, discipleship, English language outreach, and music outreach.
Although some financial support during their internship comes from local churches and from their own tentmaking efforts, this unprecedented number of godly, eager interns at one time presents a new financial need. Your generous support of the Young Samurai interns will prepare national church-planters to share the hope of the gospel in the harvest fields of Chiba, Japan, and beyond.
