Stava, Jonas & Pattie

Jonas and Pattie Stava, along with their two daughters, are MTW church planters in Norway. Jonas is an ordained teaching elder in the PCA. After seminary, God called Jonas and his family to return to Norway and join a church-planting team. From 2018 to 2021, the Stavas helped plant the first Presbyterian church in Norway. Jonas was born and raised in Norway and thus helped the team navigate through Norwegian culture, church, and life. God did amazing works during that time, far more than they could imagine or hope.

God has now called the Stavas to plant the first Norwegian-speaking Presbyterian church and have already formed a core group of people committed to the church plant. Their vision is to see churches planted across Norway where the gospel is preached and Christ proclaimed. They hope to achieve this through biblical preaching, sound doctrine, building a Reformed seminary, publishing books, and creating a Presbyterian Norwegian podcast. They pray to see a new reformation in Norway where through these faithful and obedient church plants; communities, culture, and people will be changed by the blood of Jesus Christ so that Norwegians can glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
