Thailand is quite the vacation destination in recent years. But many tourists and expatriates do not recognize its spiritual darkness. Though the gospel first came to Thailand many years ago, the population remains overwhelmingly Buddhist, without the love and hope of Jesus.

Rachel was called to Thailand as a teenager, and like the prophet Isaiah, she responded, “Here I am, Lord; send me.” Year by year she has been working to become a missionary evangelist there. She now joins Mission to the World’s existing team in Bangkok.

While Thailand is an open country, their saying is, “To be Thai is to be Buddhist.” Rachel and the Bangkok team work to intentionally spread the love and light of Jesus, and they trust that, “The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.” The team carries Jesus’ light into their workplaces, student discipleships, and slum ministry. Please pray for Rachel and the Bangkok team as they plant Thai churches, training them to actively proclaim Jesus throughout Thailand.
