Sydney, Australia: A Multicultural City (VIDEO)

By Tom Mills, Aug 27, 2024

Something you might not expect about Australia is just how multicultural it is and how diverse it's become. Because of its proximity to Asia, it's attracting people from all over Asia as well as the Middle East. The nations are coming to Sydney.

MTW missionaries David Choi and Brent Kooi take us on a walk through some of the most diverse neighborhoods in the city. The city is really a gateway. Within just a matter of blocks, David and Brent walk through a Korean neighborhood, past a variety of Indian and Nepalese restaurants, into a Middle Eastern neighborhood with a lot of Lebanese residents, and by a Vietnamese area “with very authentic Vietnamese coffee.” And in the business center of the city, it's as if you are stepping into another world just by walking up the stairs.

David and Brent and the MTW Sydney team’s mission is to share the gospel with all the nations. But they’re also sending, as they constantly try to raise up missionaries, leaders, and pastors, intentionally equipping them and sending them out, possibly back to their home nations or perhaps to the nations around us.
